Chris acts for clients on patent matters across the range of technologies, increasingly helping clients in the software, electronics and telecommunications sectors.  Chris graduated from Cambridge University in 1991 with a degree in Natural Sciences (specialising in experimental physics) before qualifying as a lawyer.  He has over 20 years' experience of patent litigation, with a period working in the US in 2002. 

Chris works with patent attorneys and overseas lawyers on coordinated multi-jurisdictional litigation in Europe, the US and elsewhere.  He also has experience advising clients on patent matters during product development and prior to launch, and during transactions such as re-organisations, acquisitions and investments.

Chris regularly speaks at conferences and writes for journals.  Chambers recommends Chris for his "mastery over a case, however many documents".  Legal 500 recognises Chris as ‘an incredibly thorough and thoughtful lawyer’.  Chris is listed in the International Who’s Who of Patent Lawyers and iam250 World's Leading Patent Litigators.
